2022-2023 Staff

Festival Producer

Ness (she/they) is a French-Ontarian multi-disciplinary artist based in Ottawa. She has a passion for theatre and has been involved with the Youth Infringement Festival for the last two years. Previous production with YIF includes the role of The Artist/The Founder's Founder in What the World Needs Now, 2024, and Assistant Stage Manager for À Demain, 2023. Other notable projects include Volunteer Coordinator 2023-2024, Production Stage Manager for Clue, 2023 and Stagehand for Dracula, 2022, with Sock' n' Buskin Theatre. They are in their third year at Carleton, studying History and Theory of Architecture. In her spare time, they enjoy writing stories and caring for her beautiful Aussie dog.

Festival Producer

Seth Thomson (they/he) is an Ottawa-based software developer, producer and artist. Prior to being festival producer, Seth did every other stream YIF has to offer -- from acting to stage management and directing. As an artist, their work has been supported by the Digital Artists Resource Center and the National Arts Center and presented at Zones Théâtrales, OFFTA, and the Fresh Meat Theatre Festival. They think a lot about rats, pasta, and trains.

General Manager

Jacob (Jake) Nevins (he/him) is an artist, administrator and one-time haunted house ghoul lucky enough to call Ottawa home. Prior to joining the staff at YIF, Jake was a participant in several iterations of the festival, where he’s met folks who continue to inspire him artistically and beyond. As GM, he is thrilled to be able to support this year's staff and participants as they create a great festival of new works for you to enjoy. When not YIF-ing he’s a theatre jake-of-all-trades, year-round cyclist, and devoted caretaker to a hedgehog who could care less about him.
